DAY 2: Thursday June 9

Ok Day 2

Post how you did today with food and any exercise. If you have questions on how to post, let me know and I'll see if I can help. Can't wait to see everyone pop in.

I am liking that this is a "short" week, it feels less long. Also, we mentioned that we'd have a goal of 2 hours of exercise this week but that would be if this was a WHOLE week, so I think 1 hour total is reasonable. We gotta make this doable.

Keep it clean, we have a weekend coming up soon and don't want to fall behind too much!

  1. Generally a bad day for me. My daughter's friend was killed in a bike accident and then my old computer crashed while trying to retrieve precious pictures of my late cousin. These two things have just taken my out today. Missed the meeting but listened in. :) Sorry to be a downer but getting this out is helpful, thank you everyone for "listing". As for the "Farm", I have actually stayed within my points today. Eating "low carb" really helps. I wasn't able to break out the Richard Simmons tape today, but hopefully soon :)

  3. what do you guys think of the "think thin" protein bars from Trader Joes? i NORMALLY HATE PROTEIN BARS .. but these have lots of protein without tasting weird, no sugar... I love them! maybe as a snack?

  4. You guys are doing great! Especially despite obstacles, particularly emotional ones. That is a huge accomplishment.

The bars.. Anita, I have eaten those and they are low cal and super high protein which is right on track for you. I think they'd make a great in between snack.

My day was really eventful, and busy with work, and didn't get many real meals in beyond breakfast. But did stick to my plan and didn't have any sugar.. although had a Cliff bar for lunch , which no doubt had honey or something sweet in it. Oh well, it was all I could do in a pinch.
    TGIF!!

  5. Okay, so hopefully now I am able to post a comment, I was having technical difficulties. My thurs. was so-so. I have to admit I'm having a hard time with staying away from the bad stuff. I have got to go shopping and get some good stuff for me to snack on and have at the house! I started out ok, but at dinner I went and had Mexican food, no flour tortillas. I'm gonna try to get out this weekend and get some good exercise!

  6. Welcome back D girl. I think we all can relate to not being able to pass up the things in front of us too well. Hmm good snack ideas..Cozy shack makes a pretty good "chocolate" pudding, sugar free I think. I know how.. how good can it be. Really low cal though. Grapes, blueberries, hmm cant think.. oh fuji apple and almond butter. A cinnamon raisin Ezekiel "english" muffin half with a little almond butter or even melted pepper jack cheese and a little glass of (soy) milk. I know sounds odd but the sweet and savory combo is really good and super satisfying. Anyone have other good snack ideas? Honestly, I feel like nowadays (as a mom), I do better with 3 meals only. And I try to feel really satisfied, especially breakfast and lunch so I don't feel starving by dinner. A dieter's "tip" that works well. In fact seriously, I know a woman who goes to overeaters anonymous and that is what her eating plan is to have "control". 3 full satisfying, carb and protein balanced, not skimpy, meals a day and no snacks. It worked well for her. I tied it for a few weeks and saw that it worked. But snacks are a little more "normal" in my opinion.

  7. I did pretty good. Stayed within my points all the way up until around 10. Then my daughter had a nacho lunchable and I couldn't help but eat 95% of it. When she saw that I ate almost all of it she was like "Mommy you ate all my lunchable." I responed "You said I could have as much as I want" So I ended up going over. I've been drinking more water. Pretty big step for me. My husband went to the grocery store. I told him I was doing a low carb WW diet and for some reason he decides to come home with Reece's ice cream things and Reece's puff's (two of my favorite things!) I wasn't very happy, but I guess that's how life is your favorite food is going to be staring you in the face and you're going to just have to not eat it! I did 50 sit-ups.
